MAF hook up


This MAF has an analog output. Remember that an analog signal as defined in this class is varying DC voltage. If you hook up to this signal when the car is idleing you will most likely see a steady voltage. To confirm that you have the correct wire, move the throttle slightly to watch the change on your scope.

The wire that you want to back probe is the Green wire directly out of the MAF unit. Connect to this wire with your red scope lead and hook your black lead to a good chassis ground. Set you scope amplitude to about 5 volts. Set your time sweep to about 1 second or more.
