About is the main access channel to the Physical World Database, a digital archive used for object hyperlinking.


A hardlink, one method of object hyperlinking, is an alphanumeric sequence preceded by two forward slashes.


Such numbers may be found on monuments, statuary, landmardks and other physical objects and entered into this access channel (or any others) for data file retrieval. is a simple mobile device interface compatible with all known Internet enabled cell phones.


PWdb was founded in 2006 as a not-for-profit archive of information about physical objects having historical, social and or educational significance.


Select files in this database are shared with other archive services including for the purpose of long-term data preservation.
